Sometimes the best way to get started writing is decluttering your writing space . But today, first thing is that I’ve got to get out of bed into this bright day. I was up twice last night, and when I got back to sleep – drats no dreams. This morning there’s something dry in the back of my throat that won’t clear. TGIF was invented for a reason and I second it. So the plan today is to put garbage bags on every doorknob and when I go from room to room trash at least three things. I’ll also be plugging away at my taxes to clear the way for weekend writing. I’ve hung up three mismatched black gloves, all of which I loved better when they were twosomes, and it will be a hard decision about whether to keep them for three more years waiting for their mates to turn up. Well, here I go, taking a step toward putting those great thoughts down on paper. I am getting out of bed now. Have a great day!

I like your new blog layout. I haven’t been here in a bit. Been reading on google reader but I really like visiting the actual blog. anyway, I clean up my space regularly but looking around me I see that it’s time to do it again. Why is that unused Christmas gift sitting there and why the nicely shaped empty bottle behind it?
Hi Kistin, Great to hear from you. My blogs a work in progress. Yesterday looking at the Christmas tree and wondering if I leave it up, will the bulbs fall slowly and neatly into the boxes, or do I have to do more?
I took mine down yesterday. I had to take the balls and bulbs off. Made me think I might either have no tree next year or just a tree with lights.
I totally hear you. Over the holidays I’ve seen it all: tall beautiful no problem fake trees where you amortize the cost over a couple of years but each year you just take it out of the closet and voila! there it is….. or magnificent real trees that take weeks of set up prep and then weeks of take down storage…And whatever option chosen it’s so beautiful. I like the option of lights only…I’ve never tried it, and now I’m all attached to the ornaments, the year I got them etc. maybe this weekend will be the cutoff, tied as it is with how long the garbage people will continue picking up Christmas Trees. As they say, the devil is in the details
We have a small tree. No closet or storage area for a fake already decorated tree here. I like a live tree but I just end up being the only one putting it up and taking it down, even when other people are in the same room watching. Maybe I’ll give the kids all their old decorations to put on their own trees. But by next year I may want to do it again.
And I love the cute little capcha! way better than the unreadable words.
